A KINGDOM CULTURE FOR MINISTRY

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Culture is defined as “the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterize an institution.”  A Kingdom Culture is then created when we apply the “kingdom” portion of the model prayer in our daily lives. As Christians and members of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, we are then charged with ensuring that God’s will is accomplished through each one of us. Everyone, especially those in leadership, is expected to lead others to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through the visible demonstration of the rule of God in every area of life.

At Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, we will do this through the following agenda:

  1.  UNITY
  2.  INTEGRITY
  3.  EXCELLENCE
  4.  SUPPORT
  5. GIVING

A Fresh Start A New Begining

“A Fresh Start – A New Beginning”   Luke 4:18-19

Since we have started into a new year, many of us are hoping this year tings will be better.  We are anticipating not making the same mistakes in 2010 that we made in 2009.  and it is true that so often in our individual lives we need a Fresh Start — A New Beginning.  Sometimes we need to just start over and try it again knowing we can do it better than before.

This Fresh Start — This New Beginning was a part of Jesus’ ministry.  Even though he was the last of a long line of God sent men — he was so different until his coming represented something new.  His words were different from Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and all the other prophets.  His words were even different from John the Baptist because John echoed the words of others – there is one coming after me, that’s mightier than I.  The other great prophets talked about His coming — but His coming was Fresh and Brand New!

Let us examine ourselves…like David we ought to acknowledge the need to start over and say, CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART OH GOD, AND RENEW A RIGHT SPIRIT WITHIN ME.  In other words, Lord I need a FRESH START — please grant me a NEW BEGINNING!!
